I re-stage found images from the '40s, '50s and '60s most often using myself as the model – making most of the costumes and props. I place myself in the past as a way of understanding the present. After becoming the character(s) in an image I write an accompanying autobiographical story. The choosing of the original photograph and the writing done after is completely intuitive. The space in-between is what interests me: story and image, past and present, truth and fiction.

DAY Magazine is my second publication made in this fashion.
